This project was a challenging one as M&I-Labtech had to repurpose an existing building that was not designed as a laboratory facility. We closely worked with the client’s Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and produced a very well-received solution by the client while adhering to the highest laboratory safety and quality standards. In spite of starting with a non-laboratory facility, we delivered a laboratory layout, the Gas Distribution System (GDS) and an exhaust architecture that was customized to overcome these constraints. The laboratory size was approximately 12,000 sq. ft., with over 130 instruments installed with associated methods.
Detailed engineering planning enabled installation and commissioning of the complete project within the client’s stipulated deadline of 12 months.
